The rugged beauty of the Lubec Peninsula has drawn people since the Passamaquoddy Tribe camped on the shore of Mill Creek in North Lubec. Although Lubec and Campobello are only divided by a narrow strip of water, their histories have been surprisingly different.
View our four lighthouses. Find the best sites for picnics, and where to get take-out food. Learn about the famous (or infamous) Gold Scam and the aborted Passamaquoddy Tidal Dam project. Join us on a fascinating van-driven orientation to Lubec and Campobello.!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Please read this before scheduling your tour.
There are many risks and uncertainties inherent in any tour, including but not limited to the hazards of various modes of transportation and the forces of nature. We at Tours of Lubec and Cobscook will do all in our power to make our tours as safe and enjoyable as possible. We expect you to exercise caution in hazardous conditions. Please be advised that our boat tours are weather dependent and may be cancelled due to inclement weather. Our other tours may or may not be cancelled due to rain or fog.
Call us before the tour if there is any question. If the tour will proceed, remember that these conditions may cause slippery walking. Lubec weather can be very different from that a few miles inland, and can change suddenly and unexpectedly. It is always colder on the water, so dress in layers for the boat trip.
What particularly attracted me about your tours was their small size and particular suitability to a multigenerational group, as ours was. I wish we had taken the history tour early in our stay in Lubec because we were shown so many places we would have liked to explore later on our own - more than we had time for. We all enjoyed our Lubec vacation - except the long drive to get there - and your tour was one of the highlights.
