September 19-26, 2010
or September 26 - October 3, 2010
Tour the breathtaking coast of Downeast Maine on an 8-day, 7-night trip by bus and schooner.
Our goal is to see as many of the 25 Downeast and Acadia lighthouses as tides and weather allow.
A few visitors' answers to the question "What did you like best about your experience on our tour?"
What particularly attracted me about your tours was their small size and particular suitability to a multigenerational group, as ours was. I wish we had taken the history tour early in our stay in Lubec because we were shown so many places we would have liked to explore later on our own - more than we had time for. We all enjoyed our Lubec vacation - except the long drive to get there - and your tour was one of the highlights.
Bob and Carol W. of Washington DC
What I liked most was Shelly's enthusiasm and general knowledge of the town and fishing industry history.
Micheal G. of Gaithersburg, MD
What I liked most was the casual nature of the tour - very friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. What I liked most was the fact that the tour guides were local people who love the place, and their enthusiasm is infectious. Now I want to move here.
Dennis and Connie K., Belgrade, ME
What I liked most was all of the local sea creatures. Wonderful tour guide, so good with the kids!
Mandy C., Brunswick MD
What I liked most was the seaweeds and their multitudinous friends; the enthusiasm and love Shelly has for her work.
Bindu D., Port Richmond, CA
What I liked most was interesting rocks; tasting rose hips and dulse.
Mara V., Washington DC
What I liked most was Shelly knew so many interesting things and was enthusiastic in sharing that with us. I've walked on the beach many times oblivious to some of the amazing things that were going on right at my feet. I also enjoyed the fact that Shelly wasn't afraid to get her hands dirty while at the same time she demonstrated a great respect for all of the creatures and their environment.
Sandi K., moved from Indiana to Lubec, ME
What I liked most was seeing so much of Lubec that I had not realized was part of the town.
Helen Z., New York City
What I liked most was that there was so much I didn't know and she tailored the tour to our interests.
BariSue M., Calais ME
What I liked most was everything. All stops were kid friendly!
Donna A., West Bridgewater, MA
